Re: Hp Color Laser Mfp 179fnw: Toner/Ink supply chain issues. We bought this machine locally from the Office Depot a few years ago and I was surprised to learn that they don't supply the Ink at Office Depot. As matter of fact even though the dry imager or toner has an indefinite shelf-life no one stocks it, not even Hewlett Packard. I was able to get some black from Toner from Hp - Us a year ago, but now I'm told by Hp's online supply coordinators in Philippines it is out of stock. Why is this highly consumable product not available here? I spoke to several different people through the online 24 hour service available and they told me to buy the drum instead because the Toner cartridges were out of stock. So I thought this drum was a four pack of toner. Needless to say, the imaging drum is a completely separate component which I may never need to replace, since we do so little printing anyway. There was a packing slip in the box with the imaging drum which said if I need to return the product to call this number for authorization, so again my call was diverted to the Philippines. There are just so many questions here? But the unavailability of printing supplies is really the big problem. Also, there should be someone here I can talk to about this.
