Acoustiguard-Wilrep Ltd

Purchased sound control supplies from Acoustiguard several years ago and received first class service. Returned recently and in response to my request for an underlayment that could control noise and be topped with mortar and tile , was sold the QT4005 rubber underlayment. After the product arrived, I realized I forgot to buy adhesive. Called the rep to find that they don't carry the adhesive necessary to fix the underlayment in place. Further, he had no idea where in Toronto I could find the stuff necessary. The fact that the rep did not tell me this before I had paid for shipping the product just sucks. I spent a day and a half searching for any/all of the suggested products. Half of them weren't even available in Canada, even less to a DIY'er like myself. After contacting Acousticguard again, the rep told me that of a polyurethane based adhesive would do. I spent more time looking but could only find glues that would have cost more Than the underlayment did. I asked for a refund. No problem with that as long as would fix the underlayment down. More time spent by me searching for product. I asked for a refund and was told that I could return the product which meant swallowing just under $80 bucks worth of shipping. Fortunately a friend took over the search and found me a carpet adhesive recommended for rubber. They have it at Lowes. So why didn't he have that information? Total disregard for my time and money. Never again.
